Last Saturday (Aug. 13th), I gave a small, informal concert in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is my favorite type of performance. It gives me a chance to play and interact with the audience. Dr. Will Bottje is introducing me. Bottje is a former composition teacher of mine and is the person that organized the concert.
One of the audience members asked Andy (my oldest son) if he would play the piano, so after I played, Andy played an encore piece on the piano.
