If you haven’t heard of the guitarist/composer, Rafael Scarfullery, you should check him out. He is composing a classical guitar piece everyday for a year. As of this writing he has composed 279. Words can’t describe how impressive this is. What impresses me the most is the quality of the pieces. Here are a couple of my favorites:

For those that don’t know who Oleg Kiselev is, he is a Russian guitarist/composer who has composed over 500 pieces and recorded 8 CDs. Much of his creative output is geared towards children and younger performers. Here is an introductory video (music starts at :41) where he plays 9 of his works:

Koyunbaba was composed back in 1984/85 and is Carlo Domeniconi’s most popular piece. In Domeniconi’s own words, “it is a piece which has continuously changed over the course of time.” The composer recently released a CD of three different versions of the piece: one from 1985, 1991, 2008.
